Summer wholesale balloons

If your children are bored and restless inside the house on a hot summer afternoon,  here is an idea to keep them happy and refreshed for a while.
Buy two bags of assorted wholesale balloons. You can find them in the Party Section of almost any Department store.  Dress your children in bathing suits and plastic sandals.
If you have a yard, a big terrace or a balcony that has a mains water faucet available, teach your kids how to wrap the mouth of the balloon around the tap and let the water fill up the balloon till it is the size of a big grapefruit.
Let them enjoy the pleasure of crashing balloons all over the floor, having a water fight, getting wet and refreshed.  You can join in the fun too!

Tips for inflating balloons

Let off some air!

You bought yourself a bag of 260s wholesale balloons and a pump. You are all ready to do your first creations, so you insert the tip of the pump in the mouth of the balloon and start pumping air into it. The noise the expanding rubber makes is a bit unsettling, but you manage to inflate it all the way. It is quite hard and stiff. If you tie a knot on it and try to twist it, chances are it will pop. Always let some air out before tying the knot. This way it will be safer and easier to work with.

Dont point them up...

Point them down!

Let´s say you are going to do some balloon twisting for a very young audience. They will all be very excited and awed at your creations and you want to show them how you make that balloon, so you point it up into the air and pump it. If you are using good quality wholesale balloons and you know what you are doing, 90% of the time they won´t pop. But if they pop up in the air, the chances of the little fragments of balloon hitting some kid in the face are higher. Always point your balloons down and away from the audience.

Balloons can pop

Keep them away from your face!

Some beginners in the balloon twisting art learn the hard way that it is not a good idea to twist wholesale balloons too close to your face. It takes time and experience to know the right amount of air, consistency or hardness of the balloon needed in order to twist it safely and successfully. If it is too full and tight, the chances of popping are increased. When a balloon pops, little rubber pieces are ejected in all directions and if one hits your eye or your face, it can be quite painful.

Balloons could be dangerous

Don´t put them in your mouth!

If there are small children in your audience, it is better to use a pump to inflate balloons, than your lungs. The reason is that small children are known to imitate everything adults do. If they see you inflating a balloon with your mouth, chances are they will find it very cool and will try to do the same as you did, if they have the opportunity. Some children have been known to suffocate with a balloon. If a balloon pops in their face, it can be very painful and even hurt their eyes.

Health and safety with balloons

Beware of balloon dust!

Wholesale balloons manufacturers line the inside of the balloons with a variety of talcum powder, to avoid the sides to stick to each other. If you inflate them with your mouth, when you inhale in order to blow again, some of that talcum can inadvertently flow into your airways. Possible consequences of this occurrence happening repeatedly over time are allergies, asthma and even cancer.

Even if you inflate with a pump and –as all professionals do- let some air out before tying the knot, it is always better to point the air towards the floor in order to avoid inhaling it.
